Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Florin collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to florists who use Florin and to visitors of joinflorin.com.
1. Two roles: your data and your Clients’ data
There are two kinds of information involved in Florin, and our role is different for each:
- Your account data. For the information about you and your business, Florin is the controller. This Policy describes how we handle it.
- Your Clients’ data. For information about your Clients that you enter into Florin (“Client Data”), you are the controller and Florin is a processor acting on your behalf. We process Client Data only to provide the Service to you and under your instructions. You are responsible for giving your Clients any privacy notices and honoring any rights they have. If your Client contacts us about their data, we will direct them to you.
2. Information we collect
- Account information you give us, such as your name, email, shop name, business address, phone, and password.
- Payment information. Subscription payments and your payouts are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not collect or store full card numbers. We receive limited billing details such as your plan, status, and the last four digits of a card.
- Content you create, such as flower libraries, recipes, pricing, proposals, orders, and uploaded photos and invoices.
- Client Data you enter, such as your Clients’ names, contact details, delivery addresses, card messages, and event details.
- Usage and device data, such as log data, IP address, browser and device information, and how you interact with the Service.
- Data from connected services you choose to link, such as order emails from a connected inbox.
3. How we use information
- to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
- to process subscriptions, platform fees, and payouts;
- to power features such as pricing, recipes, proposals, delivery routing, invoice scanning, and business nudges;
- to communicate with you about your account, updates, security, and support;
- to detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues;
- to comply with law and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Client Data for our own advertising.
4. AI processing
Some features use third-party artificial intelligence providers. For example, when you upload an invoice for scanning, ask for pricing or business suggestions, or import orders from a connected inbox, relevant content may be sent to our AI provider to generate the result. We use providers that process this content to deliver the feature and do not use it to train their own models on your data, according to their terms. AI output may be inaccurate; see our Terms.
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers (sub-processors) that help us operate, including Stripe (payments), our hosting and database provider, our email provider, our AI provider, and Google (maps, sign-in, and calendar features). They may access information only to perform services for us.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Florin, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. If Florin is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, keep the Service secure, and understand how it is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your Account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After your Account is closed, we retain data for a reasonable period to allow export and to meet legal, accounting, and security obligations, then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your Account data as described below.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level data isolation between shops. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
You can access and update most of your information in the Service. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing. To make a request about your own account data, email privacy@joinflorin.com. For requests about Client Data, contact the florist who entered it; we act on their instructions. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Data location
We and our providers are based in the United States, and your information is processed there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand your information will be processed in the United States.
11. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
